Things you need to know about the interview:

  1. English-only interview
Basic interview etiquette. Athena is a delegation company for foreign clients, so they will test your English communication skills.

  2. Recorded interview

  3. The interviewer will check your pc/laptop specs by asking you to share your screen. They'll also ask you to run an internet speed test.

  4. The results of your final interview will be sent within 24-48 hours.
If you had your interview on a Friday or Saturday, set an expectation within yourself that results may come on Monday, because the recruitment team is off during the weekend. This doesn't happen all the time, but just in case.

  5. If you failed the interview (or any other steps in the application process), you could reapply after 31 days of receiving the rejection email.
Failure to comply with this rule can lead to disqualification or, worse, being banned from ever reapplying.

FINAL INTERVIEW TIPS:

1. Avoid interruptions. Find out the schedule in advance, tell your roommates or parents you will be having your interview. Be sure they know not to disturb you and to stay quiet, so you won't get disturbed.

pro tip: be 10-15 mins early even if the host isn't there yet

2. Wear earphones/headsets for you to hear the interviewer's questions clearly and to minimize background noise.

3. Download a Virtual Background if your background is too distracting.

4. Dress professionally. Avoid large prints, red or flashy jewelry, which may be distracting on the screen. If you have long hair, fix it or tie it in a ponytail or a bun.

5. Let your personality shine through. In here you're talking to a fellow Filipino, so don't feel intimidated. They will want to see if you are a good match for the team. Build a rapport through a bit of small talk and active listening. SMILE! :D

6. Show interest. Show your excitement about joining the team and restate your interest in the position and the company.

7. Ask genuine questions. You have likely already been invited to ask questions during previous interviews, so now you will have to dig a little deeper to come up with thoughtful ones. Show that you’ve thought about what it would be like to work in this job and at this company.

Sample questions you can ask:

  • Why did you join the company?

  • What is your favorite part about working here?

  • How would you describe the culture in the office?

  • Do you have any hesitations about my background or skills in relation to this position?

  • How is success measured in your company?

  • What are the characteristics of the ideal candidate?

8. RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH! Very, very important step. You will learn valuable information about an employer, their business, their clients, and the industry in general as you research them beforehand. As a result, you will feel more comfortable and confident during the interview.

9. Don't be shy to ask for some time to think. If a question is quite hard or if you need a moment to compose your thoughts, don't hesitate to ask the interviewer a moment to think. They're more than happy to give you some time.

COMMON FINAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
